The solution will dissolve the fat cells, which then undergo degradation and absorption by the body over a length of 4 - 6 weeks. Therefore, results can take several weeks to become visible. Swelling and discomfort may last for around 3-5 days and subside dramatically. Once the initial swollen phase is over, there may be small lumps and bumps which are bruises under the skin that will take a couple of weeks to resolve. These are not usually visible or only slightly visible. The face requires only a small amount of solution, so the side effects are minimal.

The length of the procedure depends on the size of the area. One large area can take up to 40 mins.
